The convienent location in the heart of Adelaide, noise from nearby night clubs are really annoying if staying in one of the back rooms where I stayed

I believe the cleanliness is an issue.

    Exclusive

Having booked a Classic Twin through Booked.net, I had expected a standard hotel room. The room we were allocated on arrival was very basic, so I questioned this with hotel staff. Apparently, Classic, is what they call their Economy rooms. We were offered an upgrade for a small additional cost and the room we received was of a significantly higher standard. The Classic rooms would be sufficient for a one night stay, but I would definitely recommend choosing the next level up if possible. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay and we would definitely stay at the Mercure Grosvenor again.

    Very good

    Location

room size too small and needs refurbishment. even trying to boil the jug and make coffee in that small beverage section was difficult. but otherwise satisfactory and suited purpose. Not big enought for two.

    Fabulous

Location was superb and the staff made you feel very welcome

    Good

A small and too old room

Central location and handy to public transport.

Lack of value for money - given the worst "budget" room until we complained and were moved to a larger room. Air-conditioning is inadequate and the hotel is looking it's age. Lift does not service all rooms.

    Fabulous

Convenient to conference locations and park lands. Restaurant meals were good in taste and amount.

Despite the advertising, linen and towels were changed daily without need. Cleaners entered room despite do not disturb and at 7 am while still sleeping.

    Fabulous

This is the first time I go to Adelaide and I really appreciate the receptionist help for travelling information. The day tour pick up service is quite considerate and convient. The room is clean, tidy and quiet. I will choose Mercure Grosvenor next time when I visit Adelaide.

There is only one trash bin at the toilet and an extra one at the bedroom can be helpful.

    Good

Location is good - city is a short walk, transport at doorstep and good restaurant choices in the area

Room was tiny, smaller than even some Japanese hotels that I have stayed in and was a surprise. - no desk for work

Our room was quite run down, the bathroom was tiny and the noise from Hindley Street kept us awake for most of the night.

  • 6.6
    Good

It was close to the convention centre

At 3am my ipod did not dull the noise of the airconditioning plant near my 'economy room'. The room itself was absolutley minimal but fine, it was just the noise. For a little bit extra I would have stayed in a quieter room.

    Very good

We stayed in the economy room which was particularly small but it had all the facilities needed. The bed was comfortable but only a double and I'm used to a queen. I have previously stayed in the standard room and that is much more comfortable but slightly more expensive. The federal restaurant in the hotel is absolutely spectacular and well worth a lunch or dinner there during your stay.
